How Maraha Became
Prince of the Midrealm
Juliane Bechaumpe conducts the NOBLE Prize competition annually at Northern Oaken War Maneuvers. This year, there was a panel of three judges, and when she announced the results ...
Juliane:
My deepest thanks to the Judges-- His Highness, Lord Maraha Kahanikar and Lord Donalbane (immediate past NOBLE Champion).... The Wrong and Honorable Dahrien Cordell responded with a post entitled: "Congratulations to His Highness, Maraha Kahanikar"
Dahrien:
MARAHA!!! OMG, Dude! I mean, Your Highness Dude!!! I hadn't heard, I didn't realize. CONGRATULATIONS -- and Great Luck! That's, like, fanTAStic! [fulsome praise and gratuitous advice omitted] Wow, I still can't believe that I only just found out, THIS way. I'll see you at Bardic Roundhouse in a couple weeks. Oh, man, we'll have to come up with a good story for this! The result was much merriment and creativity as one bard after another speculated on how this itinerant Indian storyteller - who does not engage in armored combat - could have risen to this high office.
For this challenge only, we make an exception to the "not a contest" provision of the rules. Oliver of Cleftlands has donated a gorgeous pouch, and Master Dahrien, patron of this challenge, will award it to the participant of his choice.
